About Me

I am Alexander Crawford. I do go by Alex, but Alexander adds a sense of sophistication that I desparately need. 

I am a designer and visual artist based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Now living in my hometown, I lived and worked in NYC for five years. From 2015-2022 I worked at Tom Kirdahy Productions , a commercial Broadway producing company, starting as an assistant and eventually leading to my post as the Director of Creative. I could tell you how much I learned there, but neither you nor I have the time to digest THAT MUCH information.  I recently worked as the Marketing Director at Tulsa Youth Symphony, designing  and implementing their new identity. 

Currently, I am a freelance designer, creative director,  and  visual artist. I find it somewhat hubristic to say what my work "represents" or "inspires", but you've come here to look at my portfolio, so I'll  at least note a couple of creative tenants I live by.

I like for my work to be fun.

I like to find that fun in the room with clients.

Fun does not mean work can't be serious. 

The best work comes from listening and the most interesting work comes from failure (of which I am an EXPERT).

Funny people are better designers. 

I better be getting better or else none of this is worth it.
