SOME DIRECTION

I was tasked with re-designing the TKP branding in 2020. The main requests were that the logo be effective, bold, and versatile. The old logo was simple and worked as a starting place for a new company. The new branding expands on the old color palette and adds a cool sophisitication perfect for a Tony Award-winning Broadway producing company.

SOME MARKETING

Tom Kirdahy Productions, though not a marketing agency, at times would provide bespoke marketing for certain productions either conceptually or on a smaller scale. It was my job to design, conceptualize, and implement these designs. Below are two examples: one for a future production at a regional theatre and the other for a digital reading performed in May of 2020. 

HOOD

Conceptual Design for HOOD—a political and social retelling of the story of "Robin Hood." The music is rock-inspired and the production focuses heavily on movement and dance as a mode of storytelling.

THE WHITE CHIP

Digital campaign for THE WHITE CHIP— a digital benefit reading of the off-broadway production. The play is a comedic and cathartic look at a young theatre-maker’s journey toward sobriety.

SOME PITCHES

For most Broadway productions, the beginning of the process of raising capital starts with “Pitch Packets” — an offering to invest in the production. These packets (though they rarely are) should be inviting, exciting, and informational. It should entice a potential investor to want to take a risk.

These pieces are purely conceptual and not used in any marketing materials outside of internal pitch decks.

SOME SOCIAL

As Director of Creative, I was responsible for overseeing all social media for Tom Kirdahy Productions. Beyond just posting about awards, events, etc. My job was to cultivate the proper narrative for TKP. We are a commercial producing company with a non-profit heart. We focus on artistry, entertainment, and most of all, humanity. Instead of leaning into cold and clinical “Producing Professionalism”, we chose to imbue or posts with the wit, humor, charm and zeal that each member of the team has. Theatre has heart and we do too!

SOMETHING SPECIAL

In March of 2020, we lost Terrence McNally–the five-time Tony Award-winning playwright and husband of our president, Tom Kirdahy. After 20 months, we were finally able to give Terrence a proper memorial, or as we called it, "A Celebration of Life". Apart from planning the event alongside the immensely talented Sam Myers and Tom Kirdahy, I had the pleasure of creating a commemorative playbill in Terrence's honor. After thinking about how difficult it was to fill a playbill with Terrence's numerous achievements, I decided to propose we do just that. We had already begun compiling a "timeline" of Terrence's life and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to expand, and refine the list. Not only does this serve as a very special keepsake for the attendees of the event, but it served as the dramaturgical research integral to maintaining Terrence's legacy.
